In a quiet rural village surrounded by rice fields and tall palm trees, a kind-hearted farmer named Budi was walking home after a long day of work. The sun was setting, casting a warm golden light over the landscape, when he spotted a small bundle of fur near the roadside. At first, he thought it was a pile of leaves, but as he moved closer, he realized it was a tiny, shivering baby monkey—dirty, weak, and alone.
The poor baby monkey looked up with wide, frightened eyes. Its fur was matted with mud, and its belly was painfully thin. Clearly abandoned or separated from its mother, the little creature had no chance of surviving on its own.
Without hesitation, Budi gently picked the monkey up and wrapped it in his scarf. He carried it home and gave it a warm bath in a tin basin. The monkey clung to his arm, too tired to resist, but slowly began to relax as the dirt washed away. Budi dried him with an old towel, then mashed some bananas with goat’s milk and fed the tiny thing by hand.
Day after day, the man cared for the monkey, feeding him small meals and speaking to him in a soft voice. The villagers were surprised at first, but they soon grew fond of the sight—Budi with the little monkey clinging to his shoulder, now cleaner, healthier, and full of life.
Though he had once been a poor, dirty baby monkey lost in the wild, he had found comfort and kindness in the hands of a simple man. In that peaceful rural village, under the care of someone with a gentle heart, the monkey found a second chance at life.
