In a tense and emotional moment, a monkey’s life hung in the balance after it suffered a sudden electric shock from exposed power lines. The monkey, part of an urban troop navigating rooftops and electric poles, unknowingly grabbed a live wire. In an instant, a surge of electricity coursed through its small body, sending it into unconsciousness. The sight was both heartbreaking and alarming—its limp body hanging from the wires, still and silent, while other monkeys watched helplessly from nearby trees and rooftops.
Thankfully, nearby residents quickly noticed the incident and alerted local wildlife rescue volunteers. Within minutes, a team arrived, equipped with safety gear, nets, and a ladder. Risking their own safety, the rescuers carefully cut the power supply to prevent further harm and climbed up to gently retrieve the injured monkey. Every second counted, and their actions were swift and precise.
Once on the ground, the rescue team immediately began revival efforts. They splashed water on the monkey’s face, massaged its chest, and monitored its pulse. After several tense minutes, a small movement—the flicker of an eye, a twitch of a finger—signaled hope. Slowly, the monkey began to regain consciousness. Cheers and sighs of relief broke out among the onlookers as the animal blinked and tried to sit up.
The monkey was later taken to a wildlife rehabilitation center for treatment and observation. Thankfully, it survived the incident, though it would require rest and care before returning to its natural environment.
