Monkey Climbs on High Voltage Line and Gets Electrocuted

In a small village near the edge of the forest, people often saw monkeys playing around houses, trees, and electric poles. One afternoon, a young monkey named Ramu was exploring the village in search of food. Curious and full of energy, he climbed a tall electric pole, not knowing the danger it held.

As Ramu reached the top, he grabbed onto a high voltage line. In an instant, a powerful electric shock surged through his body. A loud crackling sound filled the air, and Ramu let out a scream before falling to the ground below. Villagers nearby rushed to the scene, shocked and heartbroken to see the young monkey lying still and injured.

One kind villager called a local animal rescue team. Within minutes, rescuers arrived and gently placed Ramu in a blanket. Though unconscious, he was still breathing—barely. They rushed him to the nearest wildlife veterinary clinic, where Dr. Sameer, an experienced vet, began emergency treatment.

Ramu had suffered serious burns on his hands and legs, and his heart rate was weak. Dr. Sameer and his team worked quickly to clean the wounds, provide fluids, and stabilize him. It was a long and delicate process, but slowly, Ramu began to show signs of recovery.

After several days of care, he opened his eyes and responded to touch. Though he had lost some fur and would carry scars, Ramu was lucky to be alive. He remained under care for weeks, gaining strength each day.

Ramu’s story is a powerful reminder of the dangers wild animals face as human development spreads into their habitat. While Ramu survived, many are not so lucky. His near-tragic accident sparked new efforts in the village to insulate wires and protect both animals and people from future harm.
