Baby monkey Janet is a playful little primate who lives in a forested rescue center with other rescued animals. Known for her curiosity and boundless energy, Janet would often swing from tree to tree, making friends with birds and sneaking bananas from the feeding station. But one sunny afternoon, her adventurous spirit got the best of her.
While trying to leap across a wide branch, Janet lost her balance and fell to the ground. Caretakers quickly rushed to her side and noticed she had injured her leg. She whimpered softly, clearly in pain. Without wasting a moment, they gently placed her in a carrier and transported her to the nearest veterinary clinic.
At the veterinarian’s office, Dr. Lina, an experienced animal doctor, was ready to help. She carefully examined Janet, using her gentle voice to calm the frightened little monkey. X-rays revealed a minor fracture in her leg, but thankfully, there were no life-threatening injuries. Dr. Lina cleaned the scrapes, wrapped her leg in a small cast, and gave her medicine to ease the pain.
Janet was a brave little monkey during the treatment. Although nervous at first, she seemed to understand that the humans were helping her. Over the next few weeks, she stayed in a cozy recovery pen, receiving lots of love and care. Volunteers brought her soft blankets, toys, and even read to her while she rested.
Day by day, Janet grew stronger. When the cast finally came off, she was eager to get back to her playful self. Under careful supervision, she returned to her favorite tree. Though she may be more cautious now, baby monkey Janet continues to bring joy to everyone around her—with a brave heart and a little limp that tells a story of survival and kindness.
