In the quiet edge of a forest clearing, a tiny, skinny baby monkey sat trembling, her little body wrapped in fear and pain. Her nose was badly injured, swollen and bleeding, and she let out soft, helpless cries as she tried to comfort herself with her tiny hands. No one knew how she got hurt — perhaps a fall from a tree, a bite from another animal, or a rough play gone wrong — but it was clear she was in a lot of pain.

Despite her pain, the baby monkey showed signs of trust, curling up in the lap of her caretaker and accepting small drops of milk. Her eyes, once full of fear, began to soften as she felt warmth and care for the first time since the injury.
The staff named her “Luna,” hoping her recovery would be as peaceful and beautiful as a moonlit night. With time, gentle care, and patience, little Luna now has a chance to heal — not just her nose, but her heart, too.
